I would absolutely recommend Rob to anyone who is looking to have their wood floors restored. We live in a Victorian terraced house with original pine floors. There were lots of gaps between the boards and we wanted the floors to be sanded and re-lacquered to give them a new lease of life. Contacted Rob at Flooring Restoration, asking if he could restore my badly worn floor which I thought I would have to replace.  I am absolutely delighted with the results, the floor looks as good as when it was laid 25 years ago. I feel like I’ve got a new floor at a fraction of the price. A magnificent two-header effort from Rob, Terry and Bill from Flooring Restoration Services. The first part of the project was to parquet the back room, three-quarters of which was a cement base from an earlier extension, the other quarter the end of the original back room, the blocks of which were removed for the later second job. This was done with reclaimed blocks from another local house. The team returned later to do the second job which involved replacing the old concreted fireplace hearth in the long front room, and the remaining concrete base from the original dividing wall, which they lined with the blocks from the first job, also now beading narrow strips so the parquet will have a snug look under the new skirting boards, and sanding and lacquering the original parquet floor, which had probably not seen the light of day since the 1950s. If you have original parquet, or even good condition pine flooring, get that horrific linoleum, carpet or tongue and groove muck up  and let the original wood shine forth.
